This project was in Collaboration with Peiye Yang and was Archived among other student projects by the School of Architecture.
The proposal for a boathouse for Columbia University is a buffer between Columbia’s rowing team and Inwood Park’s neighborhood youth and our approach means to blend the two social spheres.
The project was designed with the notion of continuity and ‘mingling’. Two continuous surfaces that twist and torque to provide a synonymous handshake of material and form. Abstracted from the movement of aquatic life and the fluid cyclical movement of a rowing athlete
